Pictures of bonsai trees - Ginkgo Bonsai Tree (ginkgo Biloba)

Ginkgo Bonsai Tree (ginkgo Biloba)

Maidenhair Tree. The sole representative of one of the most ancient genera, the Ginko may be considered a true living fossil as its ancestors flourished in many parts of the world during the Jurassic Period, from the evidence of fossils dating back 200 million years ago. The Ginko Biloba is the hottest trend in both health foods and bonsai. It’s regarded in eastern cultures as the “Fountain of Youth” plant. The herbs from the mystical plant are thought to improve health and memory. Easily distinguishable by the characteristic two-lobed, fan-shaped deciduous leaves which turn deep yellow in autumn. Fruits arranged in clusters are golden yellow when ripe. Keep outdoors. Available 12 months a year. Will have no foliage during winter months.

Hawaiian Umbrella Bonsai Tree (List of bonsai species) - Banyan Style - Large (arboricola schefflera)

Hawaiian Umbrella Bonsai Tree - Banyan Style - Large (arboricola schefflera)

This is the tree that we recommend if you are inexperienced with bonsai or you do not have a green thumb. In our opinion it is one of the easiest bonsai trees to care for and is a very beautiful trouble-free evergreen. If you don’t know which tree to purchase as a gift for someone, this is the tree to select. This versatile tree is great for home, office, dorm or anywhere and does well in lower or higher lighting conditions. Our tree features tiny umbrella shaped leaves forming a dense green canopy. This impressive trouble-free evergreen has exposed banyan roots growing down into the soil. Very popular and easy to care for.

Tip! If you already are experienced in caring for bonsai plants, looking after a mini bonsai could give you that extra little challenge. Make sure you look after your mini bonsai as it will help you develop your pruning skills further than you can with a regular sized bonsai.

Bonsai tree pictures - Bonsai Display Table 13.75″ x 9.75″ x 3.25″

Bonsai Display Table 13.75″ x 9.75″ x 3.25″

This beautifully handcrafted, dark brown display table is fashioned from hardwood and bears the trade name of Merabu. The botanical name is Intsia. As a hardwood, Merabu is one of the world’s most stable woods, rivaling the stability of of Teak and is 150% as hard as Red Oak. Not only is it a most attractive accessory, but it has vital strength properties comparable to that of European Beech and better than many other joining timbers. The grain and growth ring figure of Merabu, together with its dark red-brown color, make it a fitting enhancement to the display of your bonsai tree. 13.75″ x 9.75″ x 3.25″.
